Apply Settings
Previous Topic  Next Topic

Each time you Save Effects, the 'start' settings and the timing (duration, delay) are saved with the effects.

In the Apply Settings you have the opportunity to change the way they are applied.

Show the Apply Settings Window by clicking on Apply Settings from the pptXTREME > Effects Library pull-down menu or clicking the  button from the toolbar.

Start:
Select a method to attach to the applying shapes here.  Selecting Default, will apply exactly what was saved with the effects.  Selecting anything else will override what was saved with your selected parameter.

Change: 'Only the First Effect' will do just that, change the start parameter for the first animation in the saved effect.

Change: 'All Effects' will change the start parameter for all animations in the saved effect.

(Example:) If you saved an effect that has 2 animations, first a Fade - 1.0 seconds - Start on click, second a Zoom In - 1.0 seconds - start with previous.  If you wish to change this effect to start After Previous, you would change 'Only the First Effect' so that the Fade and Zoom still happen at the same time.  Conversly, you may have an Entry effect, then an Emphasis effect and wish to change the start settings for all effects.

Timing:
Just like the start parameter, selecting Default will keep the settings saved with the effect.  If you wish to change the timing, the select use this: and enter a number (in seconds).  If you have (for example) an effect with 2 animations, first a fade - .5 seconds, second a zoom in - 5 seconds, you may want to select, change ONLY if all effects have the same timing.  In this case the effect will be applies as if default was selected.
